Gallery Shop Renovation

The Shimadzu Satsuma Kiriko Gallery Shop will be closed due to renovations taking place between May 7th and August 8th, 2019.

A temporary shop in the Shoko Shuseikan Museum main building will be open between May 11th and August 4th.

The Shimadzu Satsuma Kiriko Gallery Shop is located right next to the glass-works where Satsuma Kiriko is produced and is set in a listed building which was constructed in 1909. Browse the creations of our master craftsmen while enjoying the refined atmosphere of the historic building. In addition to the finest glassware, the shop also sells local products made from Kagoshima tin, Yakusugi cedar, and highly decorated miniature Satsuma ware buttons.

Our attentive and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to explain the wide variety of products and are always happy to help you in choosing the very best memento of your visit to Kagoshima.
