Nariakira’s Beloved Morning Glories
Our yearly display of morning glories will be held between July 27th and August 24th
The 28th head of the Shimadzu family, Nariakira, was a huge fan of these flowers and even bred several subspecies of his own. The delicate blues, purples, and pinks of these lovely morning glories provide a cooling backdrop to the heat of the Kagoshima summer.
Over 60 varieties of these flowers will be on display in the gardens.
Of course the best time to see the flowers is in the morning, and we recommend coming between 8:30 and 11 am to see them at their best!
